A big thank you to everyone at the club not just for your kind gifts to mark my retirement as Secretary after 40 years but also for your help and support over that period.

I worked with eight Chairmen: Colin Cushing, Dave Butterworth, Stuart Blackshaw, Mike Drinkwater, Ray Stephenson, John Drinkwater, Colin Wiseman and Peter van den Broeck, probably hundreds of Committee members and thousands of other players and club members and have enjoyed every minute of it.

We are so lucky to have such a lovely club.

Finally Laura and I and our family had a great time at the club on Saturday and thanks to the 1st XV for marking my retirement by winning the league – really appreciated!
