All three girls age group teams attended the Bletchley RFC cross sevens festival on Mother’s Day

The U18’s without of their county players due to Mother’s Day and work commitments. Had an outstanding day playing great rugby, in which their support play was fantastic. They one all of their group games with a bonus point and repeating this feat in the semifinal. Unfortunately they lost in the final by one point to a strong High Wycombe team.

The U15’s travelled with 5 players due to Mother’s Day cry offs. So had to borrow players, which in the spirit of rugby many thanks to the teams who lent us players, especially Banbury and Old Northamptonians. The girls played their hearts out playing some great rugby, with Kirsty on debut scoring a try. But in the end they were the strongest team there by holding everybody up from the bottom of the group.

Then we come to U13’s who a wonderful day, playing some awesome rugby in winning their group games with everyone getting on the score sheet. Then sweeping the opposition away in the semifinals.

They then went on to win the final

The parents and coaches were immensely proud as for a team of a bare 7 players also
helped other teams fulfill their games by playing for them, some even helping Bedford to win the plate final

Many thanks to Bletchley RFC for hosting a great day.
