Brentwood vs Rochford U7s, 22 November 2009
Match report by Nigel Storer The Brentwood match was against 3 of their U7’s teams so each match played by Rochford was a testing one, fresh legs each time.
Rochford started well creating opportunities down the left hand side and confidently switching to the right. The passing was accurate and precise. Brentwood struck with the 1st try with a break down the left hand side. Rochford responded well with an equaliser from Milo Storer breaking from the centre with good support from Edward Freshwater and Ben Smith. The lead was increased by Rochford from good team play from inside the Rochford half where the ball was played to Dalton Chittendon who sprinted down to the left hand corner.
Brentwood then put more pressure on Rochford and followed this up with an equaliser. Toby Addison-Smith tackled well and created a chance for Ethan Peacock to feed the ball along to Finlay Storer who played the ball to Milo Storer, side stepping their defence and over the line for another try. Brentwood tried to respond but were met with good defensive tackles from Edward Freshwater and Finlay Storer. Dalton Chittendon extended the lead with two tries in the second half both from good passing and teamwork. Brentwood scored a late consolation in the second half.
