Westcliff vs. Rochford U7s, 6th December 2009

After a quick pep talk, some water and a ‘sugar fix’ Rochford were raring to go for their second game of the day. After some superb passing by Dalton, Zac and Toby with fearless support from Ben, Edward, Finlay and Ethan, Milo ran onto the ball side stepping the defence and then onto the touch line to open the scoring.

Westcliff drove on hard to equalise. However showing great resolve Ben and Edward gained some good ground with support from Finlay and Ethan that allowed Toby to play the ball along to Zac who set up a pin point accurate pass to Dalton for him to sprint home and score Rochford’s second and final try of the game.

After a constant barrage of Westcliff’s attacking plays during the 2nd half the opposition started to notch up try’s, however with a ‘Dunkirk Spirit’ Rochford held their line and never gave up and kept shutting down the opposition’s moves wherever and whenever possible with some strong tagging and defensive team work from all. They all battled relentlessly until the final whistle.
