Southend vs. Rochford U7s, 6th December 2009

Southend took the opening point from the kick off. Rochford responded with an outstanding combination of passes and support from all of the team to create an opening along the wing for Milo to score his first of 4 try’s of the game. The match resumed with Southend scoring. After some great passing between Toby, Dalton and Zac, Edward made a run for the touchline only to have the try disallowed for stepping outside the pitch.

After a fumbled ball from Southend Ben took advantage and made some good ground and passed the ball along the line to Finlay, Ethan and Zac who spun it in on to Milo who again scored with breakneck speed.

The game progressed in this manner until the score stood level at 4 all. After numerous vetoed attacks Southend managed to increase the lead by a further 3 try’s. Rochford had a further try disallowed by Ben for stepping outside the pitch. The decision only seemed to spur them on for one last effort. After winning the ball from a Southend attack due to the consistent tagging from Dalton, Milo and Toby, Rochford counter attacked with everything they had. A full unwavering team effort showed well timed passing and superior support play from each and every player finally allowing Ben to glide through the defence to score a well earned try on the final whistle!

Rochford held their held’s high and showed true team spirit.
