Rochford U7s vs. Westcliff, Braintree Festival Runner up Final 18 April 2010

We had already beaten this side in the first game so were quietly confident. It was a close fought battle with both good work and mistakes from both sides. We managed to finish the first half 2-2 and battle weary after tries from Finlay and Milo. The second half was still closely fought but Westcliff were starting to gain the edge. Every time they got the ball to their fastest player, he was dangerous and two late tries by him sealed Rochford’s fate.

Today was absolutely fantastic. It’s the best we have seen you all play and looking back and seeing how you have grown into a team this year is overwhelming. You have every reason to look forward to next year and if you continue to work hard, I for one fully expect you to build on the success you have had so far.
