Rochford U7 vs. Wanstead, 13 March 2011

Wanstead opened the score but Oliver soon got one back with help from Harry and Kyle who showed real ability with their passing, Wanstead then replied and made it 2-1, Speedy then got us back on level terms with a majestic solo effort, then Oliver made a good run with help from Luke and scored making it Rochford 3 Wanstead 2. But Wanstead had a few tasty players and got through our defence to score and the half ended 3-3.

The second half started with a superb team effort which created an opening for Oliver who is perfecting his running with some clinical switching to score 4-3. Wanstead levelled 4-4 then Speedy, who was in good form, made a great run tearing Wanstead’s defence apart 5-4. But Rochford just couldn’t increase their advantage and Wanstead levelled 5-5. Dynamo Dylan did make a few explosive runs but just couldn’t get himself on the score sheet. Liam made a great solo effort with a surging run straight through the middle of Wanstead’s defence 6-5. Wanstead kept on coming back at us and in the final play of the game they equalised ending the game Rochford 6 Wanstead 6, not a bad result!
