Braintree vs. Rochford U7s, 27th November 2011

Oliver.P then passed to Jamie, then onto Harry.H and finally to Toby who scored Rochford’s first. Braintree immediately replied with another try, despite a tag from Harry.H.

Adam then passed to Oliver.P, who after a good run passed to Harry.P who was then tagged on the try line. Braintree made another run and a tag from Oliver.P led to a forward pass and gained Rochford possession. Toby passed to Oliver Faulks, then back to Toby and Oliver.P before Harry.P made another run. Unfortunately he fell over; knocking the ball forward and the ball went back to Braintree.

After tags from Oliver.P and Jamie, the Braintree player dropped the ball, which was picked up by Toby. He then passed to Adam who fell right at the try line.

Braintree made another determined run but great defending from Adam and Oliver.P forced their player off the pitch.

After half time, Rochford started with the ball with a pass from Joe to Lewis. Lewis was forced off the pitch by tight defending, but on Braintree’s run, he then forced their player off. Adam then passed to Oliver.T, then onto Joe for a great try. However, Braintree immediately replied with another try, despite tags from Oliver.T and Joe.

Oliver .P then passed to Harrison, who passed to Joe for another great try. Braintree then made a run and scored another, uncontested by the Rochford players. After passes from Oliver.T and Joe, Rochford lost the ball. Great tagging from Joe, Lewis and Oliver.T led to a dropped ball which was picked up by Joe. Joe made a great run and, after being tagged, passed to Toby, then back to Joe for another try.

On Braintree’s run, Toby and Lewis made great tags but the players could not stop them making it to the try line, putting Braintree ahead in the last seconds.
