Upminster vs. Rochford U12s, 10th October 2010, Upminster Festival

Our first match was a lesson from a very well drilled Upminster side. They weren’t big, especially fast or flash. However, they did the basics very well. Upminster passed the ball across the pitch and despite some good tackles from our boys, they retained possession at the break down.

This was the pattern of the match with Upminster getting the ball, hanging on to it whilst working their way down the pitch and then on to score. Unfortunately, we were unable to keep the ball when we did get it. This wasn’t a walk over for Upminster but in the end their class showed through.
