Wanstead vs. Rochford U12s, 16 January 2011

The second match allowed those side lined for the first match to come on. Passing wasn’t quite so flowing but there were good runs from Lewis and Owen to threaten the try line. Jake managed to score in the first half and was converted well. Matt Dobson did not give up at any time constantly pushing forward often getting up after being tackled and taking the ball further forward. Freddy used his strength to run through about 3 players to then pass off to the backs.

The second half saw more changes in the team, Tom Neighbour won the ball and passed to Mathjs who drove forward well showing good determination, the ball came out and Jack put the ball down over the line for a well deserved try. Derek again ran well on the wing and was unfortunately high tackled while in full flight- I am sure you would have scored!!

Well done to all the boys, after such a long break from matches and training you all showed good skill and determination. Coaches and parents were all really proud of you! Keep up the good work remember next match South Woodham, won’t be so easy.
