Rochford U12 vs. Westcliff B, Upminster Festival, 27 March 2011

The good play form the first match continued against Westcliff. Jake landed a thumping tackle to turn over the ball leading to Harry Mimms scoring. Matt Dobson then ran in a second. Another good passage of play saw the ball slickly passed down the line and then Harry Mimms got his hands on it to score again. Westcliff were now starting to look disheartened and more good play from Rochford saw Michael run in two more tries.

There were coo’s of delight and amazement from the Westcliff coaches when Michael wrong footed their defence in a fantastic display of sidestepping. Harry Oldacre was totally disrupting the Westcliff forwards and having powered his way through the middle of a ruck, picked up the ball and scored to make it 6 unanswered tries and again an early finish. Two matches, maximum tries and we were starting to feel confident.
