Match Reports by Darren Parsons

We played Medway first, then Thurrock for 2 games in rain and freezing temperatures, the game started well and the team played really well in the conditions. We had some great tries from in both games from Sarah Jane, James Hammond, Bradley, Sam and Ben Jones. Some excellent tackling from Ben Parsons, Matthew Needham, Regan, James Hammond, James. We saw some great break aways from Declan and Ben Parsons, Regan, Devan. Medway were a tough side, but we did very well in giving them a run.
After playing one match with Medway they shot off home, this meant that we could play 2 matches with Thurrock. Under 9’s have played Thurrock before and had a good idea what to expect. Well done to you all for some enjoyable matches.
The under 9’s are getting stronger with every match, they need to remember to support each other and this will bring better results. But this will come together with time and training from the coaches.
I am sure that everyone agrees a big thank you to Steve and Nick for a excellent job bringing the team into contact is needed.
