South Woodham Ferrers vs. Rochford U9, Essex Cup, 6 March 2011

Third game and the team took the pitch in a more positive mood after lots of encouragement from Steve, the rest of the coaches and the parents. This paid off as we were fired up for the game. We started the game on the front foot and put them under a lot of pressure. After some great rucking play, Henry run’s in the team’s first try of the day. We played our ‘Rolo’ ball from a line out and again Henry managed to dart through for his second try. As the half drew to an end a loose ball is picked up by Henry who ran straight down the middle to score his third try to complete his hattrick.

The second half start with lots of good play and soon Jamie was free to run and burst through the Woodham line to score a try. Woodham then went on a run and managed to score a try, which was great for them. Henry had the last say in the game though as he scored a fourth to complete a great win for us.
