Rochford U9 vs. Brentwood, Essex Cup, 6 March 2011

Our last game in the group was against Brentwood. Still on a high from the last game we started well. All our rucking practice was paying off as we managed to get ourselves in some great positions. We put a lot of pressure on them but just need to finish off the great plays we were making. With a couple of fumbles we let Brentwood run in 2 tries. Second half was much the same with some great tackles going in. We also managed to play our ‘Elephant’ ball which went well.

Brentwood ran in one more try in the second half to give them a 3 nil win but this was probably our best performance of the day. If we could just finish off our great build up play then things could have been very different. This was the end of the group stages and we had made it through to the Vase semi final in which we were going to face Romford.
