Match report by Julie Blythe We all arrived at Westcliff to dark skies and heavy rain. Pitches were water logged and boggy. Southend cancelled and SouthWoodham Ferres did not have an under 8’s team. As the team warmed up the rain started to ease, clo
We stared in true Rochford style – slow, allowing Westcliff to use to their advantage.
First half was very messy with players needing to support more. We did however in parts play some good rugby with the ball in our half for most of the first half. A great pass from Fraser to Ricardo took us into half time 3 – 2.
Second half, Henry on for Ricardo. The boys had stepped up a gear and getting into the game with good support play from Fraser to Blake and another try. No stopping Fraser today he put all in to get a clean run and further try. Louis found himself in the right place to get our final try and end of the match.
