Rochford U8s vs. Burnham, 30th October 2011

Burnham scored first and then George replied with 2 tries back-to-back and the half finished, 2-1 Rochford!

Gary only made one change after the break, bringing on Oliver in place of Brad. Burnham came out for the second half looking like they were still in with a chance of winning the game. However, Oliver soon scuppered their plans, smashing home a grand solo effort, 3-1.

Burnham got one back, 3-2, and Gary brought on Speedy, in place of Alex who performed a cheeky cartwheel as he went off, which lifted the spirits of the team and raised a cheer from the supporting crowd.

As soon as Speedy got his hands on the ball, there was only going to be one outcome, as he turned on the speed and wore out Burnham’s defence before tucking one home Speedy style! 4-2 Rochford.

Burnham got one back, 4-3, but Gary brought on Stubbs and Tank in place of Sam and Joe, Sam has recently really stepped his game up, nearly scoring a few tries himself and more importantly, making some clinical tags and Joe is in good form lately; so well played you two!

Stubbs wasted no time in making some crucial tags which kept Burnham out.
Tank then linked up well with Ollie, twice laying him on sweetly to score 2 tries and the game finished Rochford 5 Burnham 3!

All of our boys are playing fantastic rugby, a noble opening game.
