Rochford Hundred Rugby Club confirms that Director of Rugby Kevin Harman will be leaving his position to take up a new role with Hungary RFU, marking the conclusion of a highly impactful tenure at Alpha Capital Rugby Park.
Since joining at the start of the 2024/25 season, Harman took charge of a squad emerging from two consecutive relegations and facing the prospect of a third. His immediate focus on smart, targeted recruitment brought stability and renewed competitiveness, culminating in a mid-table finish in his first campaign.
The following season saw further progress. Competing against strong opposition, Harman guided the 1XV to a top-half finish, narrowly missing out on a promotion play-off place.
Harman now departs with the club in a strong position ahead of the 2026/27 season, which opens with a home match against Cheshunt RFC, newcomers to Regional 2 Anglia, on 12 September.
Rochford Hundred has begun the process of appointing a successor to the Director of Rugby/Head Coach role to ensure continuity and build on the foundations laid during Harman’s tenure.
