Romford's coach, Steve Mersh, along with our coaches, Martin, Melissa, Pete and Stewart put our boys through their paces with a few drills and practised key skills such as throwing and catching the ball correctly and tagging.

We then played a few games (I am not sure if anyone was keeping score) and all our boys did really well for a first outing as a team. We tagged brilliantly, defended our line consistently well and many of our players scored their first ever tries.

Romford were playing only their second ever match and they were a strong organised team. They also scored some great tries and tagged steadily through the matches.

We'd like to thank Romford RFC for their hospitality and great sportsmanship from all their players. Thanks to Steve for refereeing all the games.
