Just when we think that the team might have turned a corner along comes a game like this one.

Bottom of the table Beaconsfield gave Rochford a rugby lesson in commitment and teamwork and totally deserved their victory.

They scored four converted tries to earn themselves a valuable bonus point as well as a couple of penalty kicks.

Rochford responded with two Nick Ventress penalties and a try apiece from wingers Nick Brown and Sam Barnes.

Rochford put some good stuff together in phases but let themselves down with poor handling errors and decision making as well as not playing as a team.

There were good performances from outstanding flanker Michael Stemp, before going off injured, Nick Brown, Dave Coombe and Dan Bracknell and one or two others but it was all rather frantic stuff lacking structure.

A rest next week and then Luton away .Time to reflect and put in some hard work on the training pitch.
