Chingford vs. Rochford U10s, 11th December 2011

Chingford came back at us, with a ruck forming which we held well but somehow Chingford got the ball out, from the side and ran in a try. From the restart we lost the ball and with a little lack of concentration and a couple of missed tackles they ran in another try. The match was still quite even with lots of good passages of play. Chingford gave away a penalty and with some quick thinking from Louis he took it and ran before Chingford were set and ran to the line to snatch a try back for us. Again the game was quite even with both teams playing some good rugby. As the half came to an end Chingford squeezed through to score a third try.

The second half started and Ricky went straight in to rip the ball back from them, this lead to a ruck that saw Frazer show some good rucking skills. Louis took the ball and passed off to Henry who ran well to finally passed off to Ben who was brought down 5 yards from the line. In the forming ruck Chigwell gave away a penalty. Louis passed off to Frazer who crashed through the Chingford line scoring a try.

As the game progressed Grace and Henry displayed some good rucking skills while Dominic, Lol and Declan were running the ball well. Chingford came back at us and again with a couple of missed tackles ran in an easy try. From the restart Charlie again formed a great maul, holding the ball well for Louis to take, out to Ricky who passed off to a flying Grace who burst through the Chingford line. No one was going to catch her and she sprinted of the line to score a wonderful try.

The game was end to end and very exciting to watch. Chingford crossed the line but although the ball appeared to be drop a try was awarded. After the restart Chingford won the ball back and would have surly scored another try if not for a great saving tackle from Ricky. As the game drew to an end we had a couple of good runs which with a little vision we could have passed off to give us some more space.
