The second game kicked off and the play focussed on the middle third of the pitch. Once again the game was exciting and close. Our good rucking continued but our timely passing started to falter resulting in numerous
turnovers. This resulted in Wanstead scoring first try. This lead was not long lasting as from a penalty Fraser made a great break on the wing and went over for our try to level the score at half time.
The second half was very similar but our timely passing seemed to deteriorate and we missed several overlaps which would have resulted in certain scores. We did have more chances and Lawrence almost scored from a speedy run down the wing but was brought down just short of the line. Wanstead scored two more tries to make the final score 3 – 1 to Wanstead.
In summary the team is playing well. The rucking was outstanding today but areas to look at in training will be passing, especially the timing of the pass.
